Berlin is where the music is: on its streets, in bars and in its world famous clubs. The music capital of Europe will be the first city in Germany to host Music Cities Convention. In Berlin, we will discuss, debate and introduce new thinking, action and structure to develop more vibrant, global cities.

Schedule of Events:

Music Cities Convention takes place on Tuesday April 4th 2017.  

The conference will be held at the historical Rotes Rathaus (City Hall) in Berlin, located just five minutes on foot from the major transport hub of Alexanderplatz.

The conference will see TEDx style presentations, engaging, diverse panels and working groups.

Registration & Arrival Information:

The conference on the 4th April will be held at the Rotes Rathaus’ Festsaal. Doors and registration open at 09:15 with the programme starting from 10:00 and finishing at 18:00. There will be a lunch break from 13:00-14:00.

Upon arrival you will be able to register at the welcome desk where you will be given all necessary information for the day. Lanyards must be worn and visible at all times.

Limited cloakroom facilities will be available - please kindly refrain where possible from bringing items of luggage and fold-up bikes.

Programme:

There will be 7 presentations throughout the day and 5 panel sessions which will all take place in the Festsaal of the Rotes Rathaus. During the event, the best way to access information will be through the printed programme and the Delegate Database iOS and Android apps, as well as through the schedules located throughout the venue.

There will be regular breaks, lunch and a closing reception that will allow for networking opportunities. Many of the speakers will be around throughout the day and may be happy to talk to you on a one-to-one basis.

Refreshments & Lunch:

Refreshments will be available throughout the day of the conference and a delicious buffet lunch will be provided at the venue.

Transport:

The Rotes Rathaus (City Hall) is located less than 5 minutes on foot from the major transport hub of Alexanderplatz, which has excellent connection to Berlin’s main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) and airports (Tegel and Schönefeld).

If you’re up for some sightseeing, the city centre, historical Nikolaiviertel and Museum Quarter are all 15 minutes away on foot.

Berlin’s public transit system will take you almost anywhere you want to go. You can also use the Mytaxi app to get around town during your stay.

Accommodation:

Our preferred delegate hotel, located 20 minutes walk from the Rotes Rathaus is the Amano Hotel Berlin.

Other Information:

Free Wi-Fi will be available and login details will be signposted around the venue.
