Reception at the Stax Museum of American Soul & the Memphis Slim Collaboratory

Free admission for convention delegates.

Opening reception at the world-renowned Stax Museum of American Soul Music and the Memphis Slim Collaboratory.

The first portion of the event will be held at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, with musical entertainment by Stax Music Academy students and a tour of the museum. At 7:30pm we will head next door to the Memphis Slim Collaboratory, for indoor and outdoor musical performances as well as dessert.

Reception at the Blues Hall of Fame Museum

Fall delegates will be invited to a post-convention reception at the Blues Hall of Fame Museum. There will be food and drinks provided and it will be the perfect opportunity to unwind and interact with other delegates after a busy day.

Roundtable Discussion Sessions, Presented by the Music Cities Network

Free admission for convention delegates, although spaces are limited to 50, so it's first come, first served. Registration will open on August 29.

This is an additional discussion focused event, that will take a look at the future of music cities, as well as finding solutions for today's problems. There will be in-depth interaction between attendees, and the results will be presented on stage.

The Roundtable Discussion Sessions are presented in association with the Music Cities Network.

Memphis Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

The Memphis Music Hall of Fame exists to honor the musicians who created our city’s musical legacy. It inducted its first class in 2012, and since then has gained a reputation for its annual induction ceremony event which draws music luminaries from around the world to honor the contributions of Memphis, Tennessee to popular music, from Keith Richards to Snoop Dogg to Cat Power and more. The Memphis Music Hall of Fame is excited to partner with Music Cities Convention to offer one complimentary ticket to the 2017 induction ceremony to each conference attendee. The inductees for 2017 will be announced later this summer.
